? In the seventh episode of “Thermography: Science, Health and Sport” we introduce Dr. Federico Brandl, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician (spine specialist) and Technical director of FISIOESPALDA, a chronic pain unit from Montevideo, Uruguay.

? Dr. Federico Brandl provides a very interesting testimonial about the application of thermography in the health sector due to his medical experience with chronic pain patients and his specialization in spine rehabilitation. Among other examples, he talked about this interesting clinical case:

82 years old patient with a great low back pain, sacroileitis and glute irradiation.

One of the most interesting statements from Dr. Federico Brandl is the one about how thermography can support the diagnosis process. In this sense, Dr. Brandl explained us how he includes infrared thermography in his clinical examination.

“I believe that the future of thermography is going in this direction: to carry on learning, generating knowledge, evidence and really establishing it as a technique of enormous value in the clinic and as an extension of the clinical examination”
