How does Panathinaikos BC use ThermoHuman for injury prevention?

Charis Glaros, physiotherapist of Panathinaikos BC, is constantly looking for new tools to improve the control and management of his athletes’ training workload.

This is how he found us.

Thermography is a very powerful tool when associated with other training workload control parameters, such us GPS and questionnaire (Wellness, TQR, RPEses). Thanks to all this information, the Panathinaikos BC Staff can better understand how athletes are recovering from training and matches and which is the best decision to make in each case. For a better understanding, as an example, we have made a clinical case, showing how a basketball player reacts thermally after an ankle sprain.

During his interview, Charis Glaros explains how thermography can combine with clinical information to identify the best treatment to apply to athletes, the way he uses it as a complementary testing tool during his evaluation process. He also offers us a very interesting testimony during our podcast about the application of thermography for basketball team daily routine.

He uses ThermoHuman to process all their thermal data, as the software utilizes complex algorithms and AI to offer metrics such as the coefficient of variation associated with the thermal behavior of the players to estimate recovery processes.

That is why we are so happy to announce that since some months ago, we are official supporters. Very proud to be part of your progress.
