We are pleased to announce our collaboration with Avaí Futebol Clube, a historic institution in Brazilian football that has decided to incorporate ThermoHuman technology into its high-performance structure.
The two-year agreement will allow the club’s Physiology Department to use infrared thermography as a key tool for injury prevention, fatigue monitoring, and performance optimization. You can read the full story on the Avaí website here.
Pedro Augusto Mohr, physiologist at Avaí FC, stated:
“This technology gives us a better understanding of our athletes’ recovery status and allows us to identify possible subclinical signs that might otherwise go unnoticed. This way, we can take action in advance and make more accurate decisions regarding training loads.”
The system will be used primarily with the first team, although it may also be applied to youth categories in specific situations.
ThermoHuman provides a plug-and-play solution that enables assessments in less than a minute. Using artificial intelligence and computer vision, our software automatically segments over 100 anatomical regions and delivers objective metrics in real time. This supports decision-making by technical and medical staff, with the option to integrate data via API with other platforms.
ThermoHuman has had the support of the Funds of the European Union and the Community of Madrid through the Operational Programme on Youth Employment. Likewise, ThermoHuman within the framework of the Export Initiation Program of ICEX NEXT, had the support of ICEX and the co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Thermohuman has received funding from the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), in participation with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), for the R+D activities involved in creating a new tool, based on thermography, for the prediction and prevention of rheumatoid arthritis.
