At ThermoHuman, we are proud to share our joint work with Deportivo Alavés, which over the last two years has integrated our infrared thermography technology into their daily routine. This tool has become a key piece for the technical staff, enabling an analysis that maximizes physical performance and optimizes players' workload management.

Monitoring for Maximum Performance. Javier Pérez Elorrieta, a member of the technical staff, points out that the team uses ThermoHuman with an approach directly focused on performance. The technology allows for detailed monitoring to objectively evaluate how the musculature responds to different demands and workloads.

Return to Play Protocols and Daily Alerts. Mario Pérez, physical re-adapter, highlights that the software is a fundamental daily aid. Through the Return to Play protocols, the club defines the thermographic baselines that athletes must follow in a normalized manner to ensure an optimal state of fitness. Evaluations are conducted early in the morning, after a few minutes of the player's thermal acclimation to the room. From there, the software generates conclusions and alerts that mark the areas of focus for designing the day's training session.

Optimization of Post-Effort RecoveryTo sustain high physical performance throughout the season, ThermoHuman is applied exhaustively after matches. The team performs thermographic evaluations on players who have played minutes to predict how they can best recover them after the effort. Javier Pérez details the strategy: if a player shows a state of fatigue with high thermography, cold-based recovery methods are prioritized; conversely, for profiles with a lower temperature, recovery focuses on elevating body heat.
